Small Talk with New Boss
Listen to the audio and read the transcript below. All key vocabulary in bold has been translated into Serbian in the Glossary at the bottom of the page.
Boss: Hello there! I’m David, your superior. I just wanted to check in. How are you doing so far? Is everything set up?
New hire: Hi David, yes, everything’s just fine. Thanks for asking. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, but I’m excited to learn the ropes.
Boss: Don’t worry, Amy. It’s normal to feel that way. We have a great team, and we’ll make sure you get up to speed quickly. Is there anything specific you’d like to know about the company or your role?
New hire: No, there’s nothing specific that comes to mind right now. Thank you for offering your support. I’m looking forward to learning more about the company.
